During the event, Ana Alonso, CEO of SIE, Spain is Excellence, shared the club's mission and vision, focused on raising the quality of tourism in Spain. She also highlighted the recent opening of the Málaga office, led by Sandra Grana, a renowned professional in the tourism sector. This expansion in Andalusia marks a milestone in SIE's growth strategy.
SIE, Spain is Excellence, was founded with the aim of attracting high quality travellers, promoting tourism based on authenticity and excellence. The club offers an exclusive certification to institutions and companies that distinguish themselves for their high standards of service and authenticity. With nearly 60 members throughout Spain, the Costa del Sol has been a mainstay since SIE's inception, and the recent incorporation of Turismo Andaluz reinforces this commitment.
In a context where tourism is facing increasing criticism due to overcrowding, SIE is positioning itself as an alternative, focusing its efforts on quality tourism that respects and values the environment. Establishments such as the Anantara Villa Padierna Hotel exemplify SIE's vision, accommodating travellers who appreciate culture and high-end service.
In addition to its certification work, SIE offers consultancy services to help other companies achieve excellence, as well as the SIE Academy, which provides specialised training to key players in the tourism sector.
In the coming months, SIE will announce further updates to its international certification and promotional programme.
