The jury of the fifth edition of the SIE, Spain Is Excellence Awards met at the Hotel Rosewood Villa Magna to begin the process of deliberation and selection of this year's award winners. A meeting that reaffirms SIE's commitment to the recognition of excellence, leadership and the positive impact of people and organisations that contribute to the projection of Spain internationally.
The working session, held on 20 January in MadridThe meeting focused on the rigorous analysis and debate of the different candidatures, in a collective exercise of reflection and contrast of criteria that defines the spirit of the SIE Awards. During the meeting, each member of the jury presented their proposals by category, which were subsequently evaluated and voted on together, taking into account the values of innovation, sustainability, commitment and excellence that characterise Spain Is Excellence.
The jury for this fifth edition is made up of prominent personalities from the fields of business, culture, gastronomy, sport and the media: Cari LapiqueThe businesswoman; Cayetana Guillén Cuervoactress, producer and journalist; Pepa Muñozowner of the restaurant El Qüenco de Pepa and president of FACYRE; Fernando Yarza López-MadrazoHenneo Group and the World Association of Newspapers (WAN-IFRA); Juan Manuel González Sernafounder of the SIRO Group and Vice-Chairman of Iberdrola; Iker CasillasThe Spanish sports icon and a reference point for the Spain Brand; Charo IzquierdoShe is a fashion advisor, journalist, writer and entrepreneur; Susana Gómez Forondaindependent director of SIE and Henneo Group and senior advisor to Sherpa Capital Henneo; Silvia ArroyoCEO of PDE Consultores and partner-counselor of SIE; and Ana AlonsoCEO of SIE.
As a result of this deliberation process, the prize-winners of the fifth edition of the SIE Awards have already been selected and will be announced publicly during the official awards ceremony. In this year's edition, the categories evaluated are Gastronomy, Tourism, Family Business, Large Business, Fashion, Culture and SportsThe Spanish economy is a reflection of the strategic sectors that contribute to the positioning of Spain as a country of excellence.
Consolidated as a true observatory of good practices and leadershipthe SIE Awards are aligned with the mission of Spain Is Excellence to promote a model of excellence applied to tourism, culture and business, highlighting projects and trajectories that promote sustainable, responsible development with high added value for Spain.
The process will culminate in the SIE Awards Ceremonywhich will take place next 15 JuneThe winners of this fifth edition will be announced on this date, putting the finishing touch to a journey marked by the rigour, debate and diversity of views that characterise Spain Is Excellence.
