Mission to Brazil

SIE, Spain is Excellence was present in Brazil (Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro), on an international mission with the aim of promoting the Spain is Excellence brand and gaining prominence as a destination for Brazilian premium tourists. This project was carried out with the undisputed support of Turespaña. Distinguished SIE partners, including Visit Costa del Sol, Cataluña Premium, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts Madrid, Time4U, Técnicas de incentivos, representatives of different brands, companies and institutions travelled to Brazil and led the international promotion of Spain as a tourist destination.

The main objective of the international mission led by Laura Naveiras PR of SIE-Spain is Excellence, was based on making known the public-private tourism potential of our country in the area of excellence for a high quality service. To this end, SIE brought together TOPSELLERS travel agencies in Brazil, thus creating an alliance and direct connection with our Spanish clients.

In Sao Paulo, a first inauguration and training event took place at the headquarters of Tour España, with the presence of its Tourism Counsellor and OTS Brazil Director Oscar Almendros Bonis and its PR Director Elvira Viedma. The training was given by the director of OTS Brazil and the CEO of SIE-Spain is Excellence Ana Alonso Bohoyo.

In Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, various events were held in the renowned and award-winning Spanish branded restaurants such as Grupo Rubaiyat of the Galician
Belarmino Fernández, Helena Rizzo's Mani, considered the best female chef in the world, and Izär, the new top restaurant of Madrid chef Pepe López, right on Ipanema beach. In all of them, our Brazilian guests were pampered, tasting and learning first-hand about the gastronomic and cultural excellence of our country.
