The past 15 June, the members of SIE, Spain Is Excellence , gathered at The Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Madrid, to enjoy the latest edition of Synergies, an exclusive event for SIE members designed as a forum for sharing ideas, strengthening relationships and creating new opportunities for collaboration.
The day began with a welcome coffee, providing an initial opportunity for participants to catch up, get to know one another and start sharing their thoughts in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Once in the room, Ana Alonso He welcomed the attendees and set the scene for a morning designed to bring together people, projects and companies within the SIE ecosystem.
One of the highlights of the day was the presentation given by Maribel Hipólito, Director of Strategic Alliances, from the Collaborative Benefits Programme.
Based on a simple idea with great potential —“where every member contributes and everyone benefits”—, the programme was launched with the aim of continuing to develop a unique value proposition for the SIE accommodation network.
Being an SIE member means much more than simply being part of a network. It means belonging to a Preferential Business Club, where members can recommend one another, prioritise each other and create opportunities for mutual growth.
The Collaborative Benefits Programme aims precisely to promote this philosophy: to generate qualified business and to foster the cross-selling and create integrated experiences in which members themselves become partners and advocates.
After the presentation, it was time to put this philosophy into practice.
Attendees took part in a round-table networking session designed to facilitate meetings between companies and maximise networking opportunities. Every ten minutes, participants moved to a new table and had approximately one and a half minutes to introduce themselves, explain who they were and share the value proposition of the company they represented.
A flexible and dynamic format which enabled each participant, in a short space of time, to meet new people, discover companies within the SIE ecosystem and strike up conversations that could lead to future collaborations.
Because synergies do not arise simply from sharing a space: They come about when people get to know one another, find things they have in common and discover how they can help one another.
The Sinergias event continued, for those who wished to take part, with an optional activity that took the gathering from a professional to a cultural setting.
At 1.30 pm, the participating members made their way to the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando to enjoy Intramuros Legacy, a guided tour specially organised to explore this historic site and its artistic heritage.
Following a morning spent connecting businesses, sharing projects and creating new opportunities, this experience enabled the event to be extended from a different perspective: to share culture, heritage and experiences as well.
Synergies thus represent one of the ways of understanding the value of belonging to SIE: creating exclusive spaces where members can get to know one another better, share knowledge, discover new opportunities and build relationships that go beyond a one-off meeting.
From the welcome coffee to the final discussions during the cultural visit, the day put into practice an idea that lies at the heart of Club SIE: When every member contributes, everyone benefits.
And when connections turn into collaboration, the network grows. Together.
