SIE, Spain Is Excellence, brought Spanish excellence to Brazil and Argentina through a trade mission that connected its partners with luxury travel agencies, the press and industry professionals.

From 25 to 28 August, SIE, Spain Is Excellence  It organised a new trade mission to Brazil and Argentina with the aim of showcasing Spain’s finest offerings to some of the key players in the luxury tourism sector in both markets.

The initiative travelled through Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Buenos Aires, with a programme centred on face-to-face meetings with travel agencies specialising in luxury travel, industry professionals and the media. An opportunity to showcase Spain from a perspective that combines hospitality, culture, gastronomy, design, the region and unique experiences.

The mission began on Tuesday 25 August in Rio de Janeiro, with a Spanish-inspired brunch that brought together luxury travel agencies and the local press. The day continued with a trip to São Paulo, where the following day a an elegant dinner with a Spanish flavour, aimed at agencies specialising in the city’s premium segment.

On Thursday 27 August, the mission travelled to Buenos Aires, where a cocktail dinner with a distinctly Spanish flavour was held, attended by luxury travel agencies. The programme concluded on Friday 28th with a visit to a local travel agency’s office before returning to Madrid.

The event was attended – either in person or represented by SIE – by a selection of partners who reflect the diversity of Spain’s commitment to excellence: VP Plaza España Design, Córdoba Tourism, The One Barcelona, El Corte Inglés, Extremadura Tourism and The St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort.

Through this mission, SIE continues to strengthen its work in to connect Spanish destinations, hotels, organisations and brands with an international network of professionals specialising in luxury tourism, creating new opportunities for collaboration and positioning Spain as a destination capable of offering sophisticated, authentic and distinctive experiences.

Brazil and Argentina are thus establishing themselves as strategic markets for continuing to promote the value of Spanish excellence internationally.
