The past 6 February, SIE, Spain is Excellencethe leading body in the certification of high quality tourism in Spain, presented its new SIE and SIE Laurel stamps at an exclusive breakfast held at the URSO Hotel & Spa in Madrid. This event brought together representatives from the tourism sector, the media and sustainability experts to present this innovative certification that seeks to position Spain as a global benchmark in tourism excellence.

According to Ana Alonso, CEO of SIE, Spain is ExcellenceThe SIE certification aims to transform the Spanish tourism sector with an impact comparable to that of the Michelin stars in gastronomy. "The SIE Seal guarantees authentic and sustainable experiences, raising Spain's image as a benchmark destination for tourism excellence," he said.
The development and implementation of these seals have involved the collaboration of Cavalaa consultancy specialising in sustainability and business excellence. Rut Ballesteros, managing partner of Cavala, stressed that this certification "reinforces Spain's commitment to competitive tourism, based on respect for cultural and natural heritage, promoting best practices in the sector".
